Project description

History on Wheels: Roots in Motion is an innovative, place-based learning project that connects students and teachers with local history through inquiry, the arts, and community partnerships. We are excited to collaborate with the Teaching with Primary Sources Consortium to develop Historical Thinking Kits featuring primary sources from the Library of Congress. These kits will enhance our Pop-Up Learning Labs and classroom lessons by helping students analyze evidence, consider multiple perspectives, ask meaningful questions, and connect national history to the people, places, and stories within their own communities. Historical Thinking Kits are coming soon… stay tuned.
