2025 Summer Lab: Using Popular Culture to Design Interdisciplinary & Engaging Projects: A Case Study of Rolex

The Summer Lab is a professional development program for early-career social studies and history teachers, designed to strengthen inquiry-based instruction through project-based learning, primary source analysis, and connections to contemporary issues and popular culture. The event includes a three-day summer institute that combines hands-on workshops, collaborative lesson design, and real-world case studies to help middle and high school teachers build historical thinking skills, develop original classroom inquiries they implement with ongoing support throughout the school year.
