PBS NewsHour Classroom is the NewsHour’s current events and classroom resource website for grades 6-12. All subjects including science, English, world languages, social studies, civics, STEM are included in database daily news lessons, full lessons, student activities, Educator Voice and Student Voice blogs, all with a focus on media literacy education.

Project description

Journalism in Action: Primary Sources and Civic Engagement Through Key Moments in History (a.k.a. just Journalism in Action) takes a look at American history through the lens of journalists, including old broadsides, newspapers, photographs, radio and TV broadcasts, political cartoons, all the way through the internet from the Library of Congress. Through 5 engaging interactives, students immerse themselves in the news and learn the importance of media literacy and inquiry skills. LINK: https://www.journalisminaction.org/
